Another intervenient petition has been filed before the Supreme Court in support of the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution Bill, which was presented to the Parliament by the Government.
The petition was submitted by the leader of the ‘Nava Sihala Urumaya’, Sarath Manamendra, said Ada Derana reporter.
Through the petition, it has been requested that a determination be made stating that the relevant Bill has been presented in accordance with the Constitution and can be passed without requiring a referendum.
