Several spells of showers will occur in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts today (09), the Department of Meteorology stated.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in the Uva and Central provinces and in the Batticaloa, Ampara and Polonnaruwa districts after 2.00 p.m., the Met. Department added.
The general public has been requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
