The 26th Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda has been promoted to the rank of Admiral.
Meanwhile, Admiral Banagoda is scheduled to retire from the post of Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy on July 1.
He was appointed as the Navy Commander on December 31, 2024.
