Justice S. Thurairaja was sworn in as the Acting Chief Justice of Sri Lanka before President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat this (7) morning.
The appointment comes as Chief Justice P. Padman Surasena is currently overseas.
Justice Thurairaja will serve in the acting capacity until the Chief Justice returns to the country.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Presidential Secretary Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake.
