Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Priyantha Weerasuriya has refuted rumors that the security detail for former President Ranil Wickremesinghe has been withdrawn.He clarified that a total of 163 personnel are currently assigned to the former President’s security.
This includes 50 officers from the Special Task Force, 6 VIP security officers, and several other reassigned officers.
